Assigning Subject-Specific Criteria

Students can be given sub-grades on their report card by using Subject-Specific Criteria. This system is enabled for most report card templates, including custom templates.

Once the Subject-Specific Criteria Templates are made, they will need to be assigned to a specific Subject or Section to ensure it's reflected on the report card. There are two options for this process, bulk and individual. Here's a look at how to do both:

Bulk Assign Subject Templates

When there are similar template to assign to a number of subjects, the bulk assign functionality comes in handy to configure subjects and sections with the same template. Here are the steps:

  1. Go to Report Cards --> Setup-Subject Specific Criteria
  2. Scroll down to the Subjects listing and search for subjects or sections
  3. Click the checkboxes next to the subjects or sections
  4. Use the dropdown arrow at the top left of the table header and select "Mass Assign Template"
  5. Select the Template needed from the listing

From there, it should be all set! Please keep in mind that the selection "all" option accessed via the dropdown arrow only selects subject specific criteria on the current page. Scroll to the next page to select subjects or sections there.

Individually Assign Subject Templates

If there are a few subject specific templates to assign or it's difficult to search for groups of the subjects or sections, templates can be assigned individually. Here are the steps:

  1. Go to Report Cards --> Setup-Subject Specific Criteria
  2. Scroll down to the Subjects listing and search for subjects or sections
  3. Click on the line next to the subject or section - a dropdown list of Template options will appear
  4. Select the Template needed from the listing

The specific subject or section should be done from that point! Simply click in the same area and select the "Clear Template" option if you need to remove the template.
