By default, QuickSchools comes pre-configured with standard Kindergarten through 12th Grade levels. If your institution is a non-K12 school, an elementary/high school, or uses custom naming (e.g., Year 1, Preschool, Grade 1), you can easily customize your grade level setup.
Step 1: Access Grade Setup
Go to the Students tab on your main navigation bar.
Click the Gear Icon (
⚙️) beside the search box to open your Student Configuration settings.
Step 2: Add or Edit Grade Levels
Scroll down to the GRADE SETUP section to manage your grade list:
To Add a New Grade: Click the Add New Grade button.
To Edit an Existing Grade: Click directly on the grade level row you wish to modify.
To Delete a Grade: Click the Delete option from the Edit Grade screen.
| ⚠️ Important: Before deleting a grade level, ensure no active students are currently assigned to it. Moving students to a new grade first prevents data orphaned records. |
Step 3: Configure Grade Details & Settings
When adding or editing a grade level, you can configure several key parameters:
| Field | Description |
| Grade Name & Abbreviation | Customize how the grade displays on transcripts, report cards, and student profiles (e.g., Name: Grade 1, Abbreviation: G1). |
| Total Capacity | Set the maximum number of students this grade level can accommodate across all sections. |
| Homeroom Teacher | Assign homeroom teacher/s to the grade level. |
Once finished, click Add Class or Update Class to apply your changes.
