This manual provides the essential steps to set up and use the Home by QuickSchools app, designed specifically for parents and students to track school progress on the go.
Step 1: Download the App
Search for "Home by QuickSchools" in your device’s app store.
- iOS: Apple App Store
- Android: Google Play Store
Note: Ensure you download the "Home" version. The "Class" app is for teachers only.
Step 2: Enter Your School Subdomain
When you first launch the app, you will be asked for a Subdomain. This is the unique identifier for your school.
- Look at the URL you use to access QuickSchools on a computer (e.g., https://schoolofthearts.quickschools.com).
- Type only the "schoolofthearts" part into the box.
- Tap Next or Enter key from the keyboard.
Step 3: Login Credentials
Once the school is identified, enter your login details:
- Email: Use the email address registered with the school. It should be the same as the username you use when logging in via web browser.
- Password/PIN: Enter the password you created or the temporary passcode/PIN provided in your school invitation email.
Step 4: Navigating the Dashboard
Once logged in, you can access various modules from the bottom navigation bar or the sidebar:
- Home: View school announcements
- Attendance: View daily or subject-based attendance records.
- Gradebook: Check the latest marks and comments from the subject teachers.
- Homework: View assigned tasks, due dates, and attachments.
- Private Messaging: Communicate directly with teachers via private messages.
- Students: View student information and class enrollment.
- Schedule: View student schedule (if enabled).
- Class Discussions: Participate in real-time group chats for specific classes.
Troubleshooting Tips
- Limited View: Remember that the mobile app is an "on-the-go" tool. For a comprehensive view of all school records, log in via a desktop or mobile web browser.
- Updates: Ensure your app is updated to the latest version for the best performance.
