With the Student Pathways app, the school can now limit how students can request courses via the QuickSchools Student Portal. Before installing the app, you must have Master Scheduler enabled on your account.
INSTALLING THE APP
Go to the App Store to install and configure the Student Pathways app
Click Configure and add who can manage Pathways
ADDING PATHWAYS
After installing and configuring the access, you will now see Pathways module on your menu.
Click ‘Add Pathways’ button to add a pathway. Enter the Pathway Name and Code.
After adding the Pathway, you can now add the courses by clicking ‘Add Course’
Search for the courses and add them into the Pathway. The list of courses can be configured and added via the Master Scheduler module. Please see this article for more information.
ASSIGNING PATHWAYS TO STUDENTS
Go to the Students module and open the profile of the student. Scroll down and you’ll see a new “Student Pathways” tab.
Click ‘Add Student Pathway’ to assign the pathway to student. Students can be assigned multiple pathways.
PATHWAYS AND COURSE REQUEST
You will see an option to limit by pathway when configuring a course request template.
If you enable the “Limit by Pathway” option, only the courses included in the pathway assigned to the student will appear in the Student Portal > Course Request page.
